What is upper eyelid surgery?
As the eyelids gradually sag due to aging, functional problems such as decreased vision and skin erosion occur. And the cause of this sagging eyelids is the orbicularis oculi muscle. When the elasticity of the orbicularis oculi muscle decreases, the muscle and the skin and fat surrounding it also sag, and sagging begins from the eyelids. The upper eyelid surgery is what can improve these problems, and if the fundamental cause is improved through appropriate skin excision and orbicularis oculi muscle correction during the surgery, the possibility of recurrence can be reduced and both aesthetic and functional problems can be improved.
However, we do not recommend this procedure for those with narrow spaces between the eyes and eyebrows, as the eyelids become pulled closer and the impression can also look fierce.
